Ohio Valley Speedway Releases 2021 Schedule

(Washington, WV) After a very successful first season at the helm of the Ohio Valley Speedway, the Ohio Valley Management Group is looking forward to swinging the gates open in 2021 and one of the biggest seasons to date in the tracks history.


A 22 event schedule is slated for the Lubeck, West Virginia 3/8 mile oval in celebration of its 63rd season. A diverse and exciting schedule will welcome racers and fans with a Test n’ Tune kicking off the season on Friday Night, April 9th and the seasons first green flag dropping a week later, Friday Night, April 16th.

Several first will dot the 2021 racing schedule including a stop by the BRP Big Block Modified Tour as the ground pounders will make their maiden voyage to Lubeck on Friday Night, April 30 as part of a Mountain State doubleheader with Tyler County Speedway. The first ever visit by Aaron Fry’s Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series (BOSS) Non-Wing Sprints will entertain for a huge 4th of July Sprintacular featuring a huge Fireworks show on July 2nd. Also new to the 2021 schedule will be a visit by the Valvoline Iron Man Late Model Series and the running of the ‘Valley of Legends’ on Friday Night, July 16th. A special night, as we pay tribute to all those that have made the ‘Valley’ an historic venue for over six decades.


Another new event we are extremely excited about is the Inaugural Pete Smith Memorial paying $3,000 to win for the OVSCA Sprint Car Series in honor of long time car owner of the famous West Virginia Sprinter on Friday Night, July 30 and presented by Briscoe Run Land Surveying. Topless Dirt Late Model Mania will feature a late model fans paradise as the Supers, Steel Blocks and FASTRAK Lates all remove their tops for race fans viewing pleasure on Friday Night, June 11th. Saturday, May 28th we will see a huge $2,500 to win SCDRA 4 Cylinder WV State Championship that will welcome the best ‘Bangers’ on the East Coast for a no holds barred main event. One day later, Saturday Night, May 29th ‘Monster Mayhem’ will be unleashed at the Ohio Valley Speedway as the Monster Truck Racing League hits the track. Driver Appreciation Night, Feelin’ Friendly $5 Friday, ‘Freaky Fast’ Friday the 13th and a coveted Hillbilly Qualifier Night are some more noteworthy and new events to dawn the action packed slate this season.


Several weekend double headers with the Valley’s Saturday Night sister track, the Tyler County Speedway will see the two tracks that sit just an hour apart team up for some great weekends of racing throughout the summer. The Rt2Rumble Bullring/OVS Challenge Series will see a four race/ two weekend challenge among the neighboring tracks as the Rt2 Rumble will see elevated purse, trophies and prestige on the line in the Super Lates, UMP Modifieds and Sportmod on May 7-8 and July 23-24. The Sportmods will star between the two tracks on July 9-10 as the Sportmod Battle Royale will see each victor walk away with $2,500 to win. As part of the Mega 100 $10,000 to win Modified show at Tyler County Speedway on Saturday, June 19th the Ohio Valley Speedway will welcome the Renegades of Dirt to town and square off for $2,000 to win Mega 100 ‘Front Row Challenge’ on Friday Night, June 18th. The top two finishers at Ohio Valley will start the prestigious Mega 100 on the front row the following night.


For our die-hard sprint car fans, Ohio Valley Speedway will be welcoming the thrilling sprint cars to the ‘Valley’ on six occasions. The winged warriors of the OVSCA 410 Sprint Car Series will highlight the schedule five times including April 23rd for Vapors in the Valley, May 28th King of the Wing, the aforementioned BOSS Non Wing show on July 2nd, the Inaugural Pete Smith Memorial July 30th, September 17th OVSCA 410 Showdown @ Sundown, and as part of the Finale at the Valley on Saturday, October 2nd.


Fan favorite events such as the 13th Annual Greg Schilling Memorial, Toys for Tots ‘Christmas In July’, 3rd Annual Keith Barker and the Finale at the Valley will once again take their place among the Valley’s Crown Jewel Events.
