ONA, WV-The much anticipated 2021 season at Ona Speedway will get underway this Friday, April 30th and Saturday, May 1st with one of the biggest weekend’s in track history with the 2nd Annual Yes Chevrolet/Yes Ford Cabin Fever Bash.  Here is your complete event preview for this incredible event that will feature the season opening race for the Midwest Modifieds Tour

Cabin Fever Practice Night on Thursday, April 29th
The first of three days of on track activity begins on Thursday, April 29th with Cabin Fever Practice Night featuring open practice for all divisions from 5:00 pm until dark.  This crucial practice will give race teams one more opportunity to practice for the season opening races without the pressure of racing later on that evening.  Pit passes for Cabin Fever Practice Night are only $5 while the cost to practice a race car is only $20.

2nd Annual Yes Chevrolet/Yes Ford Cabin Fever Bash Night #1 on Friday, April 30th
The first of two complete days of racing will get underway on Friday, April 30th with night #1 of the 2nd Annual Yes Chevrolet/Yes Ford Cabin Fever Bash.  The night will feature a full racing program of Greg Chandler Frame & Body Sport Mods, Rocky Tops Pizza Street Stocks, McCam Builders Classic Cars, and Contempo Trophy & Awards U Cars.  All four of these divisions have seen growth in car counts and are expected to put on a great show.  In addition to the racing program featuring four of Ona Speedway’s most exciting classes, the track will be hosting a Pit Party after the races for all April 30th ticketholders (general admission and pit pass).  Following the conclusion of the last feature, fans will be welcome back in the pits to get to talk to their favorite drivers and enjoy a great concert from Dale Harper & The Highlanders under the tech shed.

General admission to the April 30th event is only $10 for ages 15 and up, $5 for ages 11-14, and free for ages 10 and under.  Pit passes are $30 for ages 15 and up, $15 for ages 11-14, and free for ages 10 and under.  Pit gates will open at 11:00 am with open practice from noon until 5:00 pm.  General admission gates will open at 5:00 pm.  Qualifying will take place at 6:00 pm with racing action scheduled to start at 7:00 pm.

2nd Annual Yes Chevrolet/Yes Ford Cabin Fever Bash Night #2 on Saturday, May 1st
The second and final night of racing will be headlined by the 50 lap feature for the season opening race of the Midwest Modifieds Tour.  Formerly known as ICAR, the Midwest Modifieds Tour is the premier Modified touring series across the midwest.  A full field of Modifieds is expected from as far away as Michigan as the tours best drivers will do battle with the best drivers of Ona’s McCam Builders Modiifed division.  The race will feature the strongest quality of field for a Modified race in Ona Speedway history.  Some of the best Modified drivers in the country, such as Kyle Purvis, who is the 2 time and defending Midwest Modifieds Tour champion and finished the 2020 season as the #7 ranked Modified driver in the country by Speed51.com.

In addition to the Midwest Modifieds Tour, the Keaton’s Collision Center Late Models, Southern Ohio Speed Legends Car Pro, Keaton’s Collison Center Legends Car Semi Pro, and Chandler’s Auto Performance Crazy Compact classes will all be in action.  All of these classes have seen tremendous growth in cars over the offseason with great fields expected in each class.  All drivers in attendance will be hungry to take the first checkered flag of the season and get their points championships started off right.

General Admission to the May 1st event is only $15 for ages 15 and up, $10 for ages 11-14, and free for ages 10 and under.  Pit passes are $30 for ages 15 and up, $15 for ages 11-14, and free for ages 10 and under.  Pit gates will open at 10:00 am with open practice from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm.  General admission gates will open at 4:00 pm with qualifying at 5:00 pm and racing at 6:00 pm.

Enhance your weekend experience by bringing your camper to the speedway!  Weekend camping is only $40.  Camping has you at the track to experience every lap and the pit party after the races on Friday.
