Mid-Season Championship This Saturday At Hummingbird

This Saturday is Mid-Season Championship Night at The Bird, with double points being awarded in all divisions! We’ll also be making up the PAGO PowderPuff Series Race, as well as hosting the Young Gun Jr Sprints for the 2nd time this year. We have a full line-up this weekend, and a little something for everyone!

The Pennsylvania Great Outdoors(PAGO) PowderPuff Series is a a series of 4 races for amateur female drivers ONLY. 4-Cylinder cars must be SCDRA-legal and all safety equipment MUST be properly fitted. Drivers may only be amateurs meaning they have not raced regularly at any track in any division. Come on out and be sure to cheer on you favorite PowderPuff!

“The X-Man” Ken Schaffer in the 13x currently holds a 28pt lead over over Garrett Mott in the Carns Equipment Super Lates, Doug Surra is only 9pts ahead of Fast Eddy Connor in the Swanson Heavy Truck Repair Semi-Lates, Brandon Connor leads Jamie Colwell by a 19pt margin in the Cypress Clock & Gift Shop Pro Stocks, Gary Miller Jr only has a 4pt buffer over Bob McMillen in the Close Racing Supply Economods, Timothy Steis leads Josh Fields by in the Sunny106 Pure Stocks, and Shawn Hadden currently has the largest margin of 34pts over Blake Joiner in the Andy Man’s Car Care 4-Cylinders. It’s a double points night so no lead is safe as we get ready to head down the backstretch of the 2021 season!

The Sub Hub Kids Club will be open from 6:00-7:00. Kids are encouraged to return their Birdwood Derby cars soon so that they can begin the next step of building and painting their cars. We will also have special guests Scott “Osh” Alvetro and Jim “Animal” Bloom signing autographed photos for the kids!

Pie In The Eye will be back once again with “The Bounty Hunter” Bob McMillen on the docket! Last week we raised a whopping $700, bringing our total thru 5 races up to $885! All proceeds from Pie in the Eye will go to the Gateway Humane Society in Memory of Tom Scott.
