22nd Annual “Little Guy Nationals” All Set For Mercer October 1-2

In 1999 an idea to have a special “nationals” for the 358 Modifieds and the Pure Stocks at Mercer was created to be run in late September. The drivers responded with over 50 358 Mods and over 80 Pure stocks filling the pit area. As the 21st century began a record 122 stocks along with 58 358 modifieds in the year 2000.. and a now long standing tradition was born.

Now in 2021 the “Little Guy Nationals“ reaches its 22nd year and the third under the Michael’s ownership. As always there will be a complete show both friday and saturday oct 1-2 with 9 different classes over 2 days!!

Headlining the card will be the 2 classes that started it all…the open small block Modifieds (any C.I. Small block non aluminum) which will run for $1500 to win Friday and $2000 on Saturday and the Pro stocks under Penn/Ohio rules competing for $1000 to win Friday and $1500 in an non point race Saturday. Also scheduled will be the FASTRAK modifieds running for $800 and $1000, the mini stocks racing for $500 and $600, the crate non wing sprints making their first 2021 appearances racing Saturday for $800, the Racesaver 305 sprints racing Friday for $600 to win and $800 on Saturday, the 2 barrel economods under raceway 7/Sharon rules racing for $500 and $600 and the Junior Sprints also competing both days.

There will also be a powder puff race for the ladies on Friday night. It is eligible to any female who has not raced in competition at Mercer for $250 to win.

For Friday pit gates will open at 3 pm, grandstands at 4 pm, hot laps(TBD)at 5:30 and racing at 6 pm. Grandstand admission will be $15 Seniors $13 and children under 13 are free with paying adult. Pit fees will be $30.

On Saturday pit gates open at 1 pm, grandstands at 2 pm, hot laps (TBD)at 3:30 and racing at 4 pm. Grandstand admission will be $17, seniors $15, and children under 13 will be free with paying adult. Pit fees will be $35, seniors and kids under 10 will be $30.

Camping is free all weekend with no hook ups along the tree line by the pits sign in or behind the grandstands .Please only small campfires permitted and please clean up trash before leaving.

Pets are permitted but must be on a leash inside of the property; lawn chairs are permitted down along the grassy area; No glass permitted; alcohol is OK; we will have concessions available for food and drinks; all coolers must be 14 inches or smaller in width. We are a cash only facility. We have a fully functional police department inside of our gates to help with any issues that may arise.

There will also be a practice session held Thursday Sept 30 beginning at 5 pm. Grandstands will be closed with a $20 pit fee.

A pre-entry little guy national fee is also required per driver ..if a driver is racing multiple divisions they must pay an entry fee for each division that they run.
