FAST at Atomic 6/29 – BOSS/FAST at Waynesfield 7/3

Big weekends mean big events! Track promoters Charlie Vest and Shane Helms are set to make that happen over the next few days. Wednesday night, June 29th, Vest’s Atomic Speedway will play host to the Ti22 Performance Inc. FAST On Dirt winged 410 sprint cars. This is the return of the classic “Night The Stars Come Out” that dates back to the early 1990’s at THEN “K-C Raceway”. This year’s event will pay $5,000 to the 30 lap main event winner with $350 to start the main.
On Sunday, the MPD Racing Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series joins FAST at Helms’ Waynesfield Raceway Park for the prestigious 13th annual “Jack Hewitt Classic”. This year’s 30 lapper will pay $3,500 to the main event winner with $350 to start. Also in competition will be the FAST tour, in the 4th annual “Bob Hampshire Classic” also racing for $3,500 to win in another 30 lap battle that will also guarantee $350 to start.
At Atomic Speedway on Wednesday, pit gates will open at 2 pm with general admission gates open at 4. FAST driver meeting will be at 5:45 with engine heat immediately following. Hot laps will begin at 6:30 with racing at 7:30. Other classes competing will be the steel block late models and modifieds. Adult general admission at the gates is $20, seniors/military $15. Pit passes are $35 for adults and $20 for kids. If you buy advance tickets on My Race Pass, you can save a couple bucks on each ticket!
The full payout for Wednesday’s race is as follows: 5000, 2500, 1400, 1250, 1000, 800, 700, 600, 550, 500, 450, 450, 425, 400, 400, 400, 350, 350, 350, 350, 350, 350. Heat races will pay: 40, 30, 20, 10 thanks to Napa Auto Parts of Fremont, Brave Breed Rescue, Inc., The Cushion and Outsider’s Merchandise and Apparel. Bonus awards for Hard Charger and Hard Luck worth $50 are provided by Kear’s Speed Shop and the @Main Event Bar and Grill. Fuel is available through the race track and tires will be available from the FAST tour. Please call ahead to reserve specific chalk marks! Yellow Westhold transponders are required. Cars must be on 4 Hoosiers with the left rear the H12 and the right rear must be a Medium or H15. You do NOT have to run the same right rear all night. Wings must be flat top with maximum 2″ wicker bill. Mufflers are NOT required at Atomic.
Sunday at Waynesfield, pit gates will open at 3:30 with general admission gates at 4:30. General admission is $18 with seniors $15 (62 and up), while kids 11-15 are just $10. Kids 10 and under are free. Pit passes will be $30. FAST/BOSS driver meeting will be at 5:30 with racing set to begin at 7 pm. No fuel is sold at Waynesfield, so plan accordingly, however, tires will be available from BOSS and FAST. The same rules apply for FAST and Waynesfield. BOSS cars must be on all 4 Hoosier tires with the right rear the H15 or Medium, and you do not have to run the same tire all night. We will be using the yellow Westhold transponders. Mufflers are NOT required.
The payout for both BOSS and FAST at Waynesfield are as follows: 3500, 1500, 1000, 750, 650, 550, 500, 475, 450, 425, 400, 390, 380, 370, 360, 350, 350, 350, 350, 350. Heat races will pay 40, 30, 20, 10 thanks to the aforementioned sponsors along with TCB Speed.
