Electric Outages, Weekend Storm Damages Postpone Skyline Opener

1 min read

Following on-going power outages and damages stemming from this past weekends wind storms, we are forced to cancel all racing activity this week.

Estimates provided to our staff, indicated electric will not be restored to the race track until late Wednesday/early Thursday morning, leaving us unable to proceed with scheduled activities. Owner Jeff Burdette anticipates likely damages to some race day systems (scoring, concession and speakers) and the short window for a possible turnaround to race, leaves us with little but no choice to postpone.

While track prep and general facility readiness has been a GO, Mother Nature’s unfriendly hand now moves our season opener to Saturday April 8th.

🔴 April 8th’s opener will include 🔴

Late Models • UMP Modifieds • Sport Mods • 4-Cylinders & Mod Lites

Owner Jeff Burdette and staff wish to apologize for what is a disappointing situation for all involved. We are already looking at additional dates in the summer months, to help make up for the 2 postponed events.
