2 min read

This Saturday, April 8th, the Ti22 Performance FAST On Dirt tour will kick-off the 2023 season. The venue will be the legandary high banks of Atomic Speedway, just south of Chillicothe, Ohio. It will be the first of 24 scheduled events which offers a $15,000 to win championship. Saturday’s event will pay $3,000 to win and $350 to start the 30 lap main event.

Fittingly, it will also be “Ladies Night” and everyone knows most ladies prefer FAST sprint cars. All women will be admitted free in general admission. However, they CAN upgrade to a pit pass for just $10. Joining the FAST tour will be the Steel Block Late Model Series and the sport modifieds. Race times are moved up an hour to help beat the late night cooler temperatures.

Racing action at 6:00

Adult General admission: $20

For the FAST teams, there is no membership or entry fees. Cars must run flat top wings with a maximum 2″ wickerbill. Cars must be on 4 corner Hoosier Tires. Any spec rear tires from 2022 or 2023 can be run. On the right rear, that includes the H15, Medium, or D15A. On the right rear, legal compounds are the H12 or D12A. You do not have to run the same right rear tire all night. We will have tires available at the track.

Drivers will draw into heat races, then hot lap in their heat race group. Time trials will be 2 cars at a time for 2 laps. Heat races will invert the 4 fastest cars with the heat winner and the fastest qualifier making the redraw. All drivers must have a working Raceceiver in anytime the car is under power on the race track. We will be using the yellow Westhold transponders.

The main event payoff is as follows: 3000, 1500, 1000, 750, 650, 550, 500, 475, 450, 425, 400, 390, 380, 370, 360, 350, 350, 350, 350, 350. Bonus awards for hard charger and hard luck will be provided by Jason Imler and All Star Performance.

Be sure to get out for what promises to be a beautiful spring evening. If you can’t make it out to the track, you can watch the action live on The Cushion.
