Next up – this Friday and Saturday, May 5th and 6th, the MPD Racing BOSS tour will make its first ever visit to the Hilltop Speedway near Millersburg, Ohio followed up by a much anticipated return to Wayne County Speedway near Orrville, Ohio.
Stoystown, Pennsylvania’s Carmen Perigo won the opening round on April 21st at Ohio Valley Speedway and currently sits atop the point standings followed by the rest of the top 5 that includes Kokomo, Indiana’s Parker Frederickson, Troy, Ohio’s Korbyn Hayslett, Oxnard, California’s Ricky Lewis and Wilmington, Ohio’s Cody Gardner. Fans can expect to see drivers from no less that 6 states.
On Friday at Hilltop, gates will open at 4 with the BOSS driver meeting at 6:45 and hot laps at 7. Adult general admission is $20 with kids 12 and under free. PIt passes will be $40 with kids 6-12 just $20 in the pits and 5 and under free.
On Saturday at Wayne County, gates will open at 3 pm with driver meeting at 5:45 and hot laps at 6. General admission will be $20 with kids 12 and under free. Pit passes will be $35.
For competing teams, the payout both nights, will be as follows: 2000, 1000, 750, 650, 550, 500, 450, 425, 400, 375, 350, 340, 330, 320, 310, 300, 300, 300, 300, 300. Heat races will pay: 40, 30, 20, 10 thanks to MadTree Brewing, Outsider’s Merchandise and Apparel, and Elizabeth Gardner Photography. Five bonus awards of $50 each will be provided by Allstar Performance, Cowen Truck Line Inc, All Pro Cylinder Heads, Inc., JF Construction, and E A Home Supply.
As always with BOSS, there are no membership fees or entry fees. Cars must be on 4 corner Hoosier Racing Tires. The right rear must be a 2022 or 2023 spec, Medium, H15 or D15A. You do not have to run the same tire all night.
We will be using the yellow Westhold transponders. The series now has a limited supply to rent for $5 per night on a first come, first served basis. We also have them available for purchase. We will also have tires and clear methanol fuel available for $4 a gallon.
The hotel deal for the weekend is the Wooster Quality Inn with rooms for $90 plus tax. Call 330-262-5008 and be sure to ask for the BOSS Racers Rate. Wayne Lanes, right next door, is graciously allowing us to park trucks and trailers in their lot!
