Milbee Takes Atomic Steel Block Late Model Series Season Opener

The Ohio Valley Outlaws put on a great show at Atomic Speedway on Saturday night!!! The Burlile Performance Products VP Racing Fuels Steel Block LateModels Presented by Impact RaceGear had 30 cars in the pits to do battle on the high banks.

With a week full of rain and cold temps Charlie Vest and the whole Atomic Speedway staff did a great job having the track and the facilities ready to go for Saturday night. We appreciate all of their hard work!!!

Zach Milbee Racing out of Poca, WV would sweep the night with having Fast time, Heat 1 winner and then leading every lap of the 25 lap event. Matt Melvin would put some pressure on Milbee during the first half of the race with Joe Harper, Lucas McDonald, Corey DeLancey, and Brad Rickels putting on a great show. Rickels would then take over Melvin and set his sights on the leader. MIlbee would continue to lead with Rickels putting some pressure on him. With a late race caution it would set up a green, white, checkered finish. Milbee would lead with Rickels, Harper and Melvin following. Rickels would get close to Milbee a few times but could not pull off the pass and Milbee would take the checkered flag.
