American Late Model Iron-Man Series At Oakshade For 35th Annual Barney Oldfield Satruday

SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (May 20, 2024) – The Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP Racing Fuels second event of the 2024 Memorial Day Weekend tripleheader of racing will see the series visit Oakshade Raceway in Wauseon, OH on Saturday May 25 for the 35th Annual Barney Oldfield Race. The 35th Annual Barney Oldfield Race will pay $5,000 to win and $500 to start.

The Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP Racing Fuels will be featured at Oakshade Raceway in Wauseon, OH on Saturday May 25 and will be in action in a full program of Todd Steel Buildings “Building Speed” Hot Laps, E-Z-GO Time Trials presented by Brucebilt Performance, Heat Races, STAKT Products B-Mains, and the 40-lap, $5,000 to win/$500 to start 35th Annual Barney Oldfield Race Valvoline A-Main feature event. Along with the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP Racing Fuels on the racing card at Oakshade Raceway on Saturday May 25 will be the track’s DCR Graphics Sportsman and Dominator Super Stocks.

Activities at Oakshade Raceway on Saturday May 25 will see the pit area and general admission area open at 4:00 p.m. The driver’s meeting will be at 5:30 p.m., with practice and time trials set to get underway at 6:00 p.m. and racing will begin at 7:30 pm. Ticket prices at Oakshade Raceway on Saturday May 25 in the general admission area will be $15 for adults and all pit passes are $25.

The Valvoline Late Model Iron-Man Series Fueled by VP Racing Fuels will sanction the Super Late Model portion of the event and the tire rule will be as follows: Fronts and Rears: Hoosier NLMT 2 and Hoosier NLMT 3 anywhere on the car (there is no limit on the number of tires used; the droop rule will be in effect, along with the Unified Dirt Late Model Car Construction rules). The entry fee for the event is $50 and transponders for timing/scoring will be available for rent at the track. Any driver not making the 22-car starting field will receive $75 tow money.
