410 Sprint Car racing will make a big return to Stewart Ohio’s Skyline Speedway this Thursday July 3rd, as the track hosts the 5th Annual Pete Smith – Steve Ungar Memorial featuring the FAST on Dirt 410 Sprint Cars! In what is being billed as the “biggest” 410 Sprint Car show at Skyline in over a decade, the FAST on Dirt 410 Sprints will invade Skyline and highlight a busy Independence Day weekend kickoff event, which will also includes racing in the UMP Late Models, UMP Modifieds and Sport Mods!

Making their highly anticipated first ever visit to Skyline, the FAST on Dirt Sprint Cars will help introduce the Pete Smith – Steve Ungar Memorial, which moves to its new home at Skyline in 202. The $4,000 to Win 410 Sprint Show, celebrates the career and memory of longtime Ohio Valley sprint car legend Pete Smith and in 2025, also celebrates the career of one of Pete’s most successful drivers… Steve Ungar.

With a rich $4,000 to Win ($400 to start) purse and over $1,400 worth of bonus cash contingency prizes, this year’s event is it’s richest yet and is the culmination of a years’ worth of work by longtime sprint car supporter and event organizer Darren Griffith. (Teams are encouraged to visit Skyline’s Facebook page for complete contingency prizes and details)

While the winged warriors of the FAST series will be the highlight of the night, fans will have plenty more excitement throughout the night as Skyline’s ultra-competitive UMP Late Model, UMP Modified and Sport Mod classes will also be in action! On the heels of a tightly contested 2-day Rumble on the Ridge event in late June, fans are expected to see these battles renew and catch many of the region’s top talents, do battle on a rare Thursday evening show across the track’s 3 standard competing classes.

The evening of racing will feature multiple special guests, including a special appearance by longtime announcer, racer and historian Scott Wolfe who will be on the mic’ throughout the night as well as Steve’s son (and longtime Sprint Car competitor) Rick Ungar.

Gates will open Thursday at 4PM and Hot Lap/Qualifying set for 7PM and Heat Races to follow. General Admission is set at $20, with Kids 10 & Under – Remaining Free | Pits – $40, with Kids 5 & Under – Remaining Free.
