A Smooth Start, a Dominant Win, and an Unfortunate Twist At Tri-City

July 18, 2025 – For Immediate Release:
Franklin, PA — Everything was running like clockwork at Tri-City Raceway Park this past Friday. We kicked off the evening with 9 smooth heat races, giving fans plenty of wheel-to-wheel action early on. Then came a crowd favorite — Autograph Night! Nearly every fan in the grandstands made their way onto the track to meet their favorite drivers, grab some selfies, and collect some hero cards. It was truly a feel-good moment for everyone.
Once the track was cleared and the sun started to set, it was time for our first feature of the night — the Flea Flicker Super Late Models — and boy, did Jared Miley put on a show. Miley led flag-to-flag, dominating from start to finish to pick up his third career win at Tri-City and his first since 2021. But don’t let the wire-to-wire stat fool you — he had company.
Ryan Scott and Josh Ferry kept the pressure on, making it a three-car battle for much of the race. Unfortunately for Scott, a mechanical issue on lap 18 ended his night early. Ferry brought home a strong second-place finish, followed by Darrel Bossard, Bob Dorman, and Ryan Huchko rounding out the top five.
Just as things were rolling, Christmas in July took a turn. The Grinch made an unexpected appearance — literally and figuratively — when an electrical issue in turn two took out three light poles. Despite multiple attempts by our team to restore power, the issue couldn’t be resolved safely or quickly enough. With compromised lighting on one end of the track, driver safety became our top concern, and the difficult but necessary decision was made to cancel the remaining five features.
We know how excited everyone was for a full night of racing, and we share in your disappointment. But we’re not letting those races go — they’re all being made up on the following dates:
Make-Up Feature Schedule:
July 25th — RUSH Stock Cars
August 1st — RUSH Sprint Cars & Pro Stock make-up (from June 13th)
August 8th — 410 Sprint Cars & Pro Stocks

As a sincere thank you for your patience and continued support, anyone who attended the July 18th event will receive $10.00 off general grandstand admission on either August 1st, 8th, or 15th. Just bring your original wristband from July 18 — it can be used once on the night of your choice.
Tri-City Raceway Park owners Josh and Kyrsten Shiffer want fans to know just how much they appreciate you sticking with them through the highs and lows.
“We were heartbroken to call the night early,” said Josh Shiffer. “This place means the world to us — not just the track, but the people in the stands. But above all else, the safety of our drivers, crews, and fans has to come first. We want to make it right, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back for an even better night of racing.”
From our family to yours, thank you for being part of the Tri-City community. We’ll see you back at the track soon.
