Mansfield & West Virginia Motor Up Next for Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series May 2-3

SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (April 28, 2026)—The next events for the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series fueled by VP will take the tour to Mansfield Speedway in Mansfield, OH for the first-ever series visit on Saturday May 2 followed by a trip to West Virginia Motor Speedway in Mineral Wells, WV on Sunday May 3.

The “Comeback Classic” brings the competitors of the series to the Matt Tifft-owned Mansfield Speedway in a 30-lap $5,000-to-win event. The FAST on Dirt 410 Sprint Cars & the UMP DIRTcar Modifieds will join the action. For more information regarding prices, log on to www.TheSpeedway.com . Mansfield Speedway is located at 400 Crall Road in Mansfield, OH 44903. Drivers, please use the SR 545 entrance into Mansfield Speedway, follow signs. Due to cooler temperatures, start times have been adjusted. The pits open at 12:00 pm, spectator gates open 3:00 pm, drivers meeting will be 3:15 then on-track activity will begin at 4:15 pm.

On Sunday May 3, the series will visit the Mike & Becky Hurley-owned West Virginia Motor Speedway in Mineral Wells, WV for the “Mark Balzano Memorial” in a 40-lap $10,000-to-win shootout. This will mark the first time the series has visited WVMS since October 9-10, 2021 when Devin Moran swept the weekend. The Pro Late Models & Sport Mods will also be in action. West Virginia Motor Speedway is located at 788 Speedway Rd. in Mineral Wells, WV 26150. The pits open at 3:00 pm, driver’s meeting is at 5:45 pm with on-track activity beginning at 6:15 pm.

Caiden Black of New Concord, Ohio currently leads the series point standings heading into the doubleheader weekend at Mansfield & West Virginia Motor Speedways. Black holds a five-point lead over Adam Stricker, then Rod Conley third, R.J. Conley fourth and Kyle Moore fifth in the points. Zach Milbee of Poca, W.V. leads the JD Enterprise Steel Block point standings over Miles Cook II and Travis Carr. Todd Brennan leads the FloRacing Rookie of the Year standings over Travis Carr heading into Mansfield and WV Motor Speedways.

The tire rule each night will be as follows: Fronts & Left Rear: Hoosier NLMT 2 & 3 with the Right Rear: Hoosier NLMT 3 & 4. The series entry fee is $50 each night.
