3 Months To The Steel Valley Pro Stock Nationals $10,000 To Win Event At Sharon Speedway

March 16, 2018 (Sandy Lake, PA) The anticipation is building for the biggest pro stock race in the history of stock car racing in the Western PA/Eastern OH region. The inaugural event presented by Blue Ox Timber will kick off at Sharon Speedway on Friday, June 15th with practice, pre-tech, and bonfire/entertainment, followed by racing on Saturday, June 16th.

Utilizing the “Alphabet Soup” format, drivers will have ample opportunity to race their way to the 75 lap A Main. The A Main will have drivers competing for the $10,000 prize, with $300 to start. The payout is as follows:
1st – $10,000; 2nd – $3,000; 3rd – $1,500; 4th – $1,000; 5th – $700; 6th – $550; 7th – $500; 8th – $475; 9th – $450;
10th – $425; 11th – $400; 12th – $375; 13th – $350; 14th – $325; 15th to 30th – $300. Additional monetary awards will be available throughout the event for drivers to earn some extra cash.

Group qualifying will give drivers a chance to showcase their speed and will determine heat race starting positions with an invert 4. The overall fastest qualifier will receive the $500.00 Zimmer’s Service Center Inc. “Shock the Clock” award.

Each heat race will pay the top four finishers $100 for 1st; $75 for 2nd; $50 for 3rd; and $25 for 4th. Current heat race sponsors include Shingledecker’s Welding Inc., Gravatt’s Electric & Generators, and Crawford Custom Consulting.

An award of $100 will go to the tenth highest Homak Penn Ohio Series member finisher sponsored by an anonymous supporter of the Homak Penn Ohio Pro Stock Series. Camping is free at the speedway and area lodging is available at the Best Western Inn & Suites in Hubbard, Ohio at discounted rates to those mentioning Sharon Speedway. Ticket prices are $10 for fans 14 years of age and over, while fans 13 years of age and under are free. This will be a must see and inexpensive event for the whole family. Don’t miss out!
