(Middlebourne, WV) – The Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour is launching itself back to the national scene in 2019 with over fifteen nights of racing booked in the Ohio Valley ‘The Boys’ are officially BACK! It is with great excitement officials announce that it will be returning to the Hilltop Speedway in Millersburg, OH on Friday night April 5th for $2,000 to win!

The 3/8 mile dirt oval in Millersburg, OH boasts a lot of history for the Renegades of Dirt. Hilltop Speedway hosted the tours inaugural event in May of 2012 and now will once again open the gates to some of the nations best modified wheelmen in 2019. Friday April 5th the Buck Smitley owned Hilltop Speedway will welcome the Renegades for the 4th Annual, $2,000 to win “King of the Hill”. Past event winners include Lance Elson, Jesse Wisecarver and Kevin Morehouse.

Over fifty entries took place in the tours first ever event which saw Lance Elson make history as the first to grab Renegade victory. The event was the foundation for what would grow into one of the most prestigious modified tours in the country. In 2013 it was Jesse Wisecarver in the Two Brothers Motorsports house car who would turn back all challengers to grab the tours season opener that year.

However, most memorably it was a late fall event at the Hilltop Speedway that showcased a battle between local Kevin Morehouse and North Carolina’s Nick Hoffman that would go down as one of the best battles in tour history. The duo demanded the fans attention as they exchanged sliders with Hoffman using up the wall looking for the fastest way around. Hoffman would take the lead on the last lap prior to getting a flat tire and being beat to the stripe by Morehouse who would take the win.

“We are super excited to have Hilltop Speedway be part of our 2019 schedule”stated Cody Watson. “With us making a return in 2019 it is fitting to have Hilltop as part of that return and to kick off our season in the Ohio Valley on April 5th” added Watson. “I want to thank Buck Smitley and Jesse Wardell for giving us this opportunity and we look forward to adding another chapter to the tours great history with Hilltop Speedway” concluded Watson.

The additional event date coincides with the “Let It Ride 55” already schedule for Saturday April 6th at the Tyler County Speedway. The added date further sets up a cant miss spring weekend for the Renegades of Dirt showcasing the best of the best for a pair of nights featuring two of the regions biggest events. The 4th Annual $2,000 to win “King of the Hill” and 7th Annual $3,555 to win “Let It Ride 55”. For more information on the Hilltop Speedway visit www.hilltopspeedway.org or visit them on Facebook.
