Elkins Set To Open 67th Season

The Elkins Raceway is preparing for the 67th racing season. The annual Test and Tune session will be Friday April 26 with free general admission and only $15 for the pits. Concessions will be available in the pits. If Friday should rain out, the practice day will be Saturday April 27.

Friday Nite Thunder at the Elkins Raceway will feature Super Late Models, FASTRAK crate motor Late Models, UMP Modifieds, EDGE Hot Mods, Street Stocks and Mini Mods on a weekly basis.

The areas first fireworks display will be June 28! That will also be the Mid Season Championship with double points in all classes.

Some highlights for the 2019 season include the 3rd annual Red Fredrick Memorial worth $5,200 to the winner in the Super Late Models set for July 6. Also the 9th annual Skidmore Memorial is slated for July 20 with a cool $5K awaiting the winner in the super Late Models. Plus the annual gigantic fireworks display!

Other specials include May 24 for the Street Stocks. June 14 the UMP Modifieds will have their night. The FASTRAK Late Models take center stage August 2. Specials for the family and kids include autograph nights June 7 and August 9. A candy rush for the kids June 21. And the annual bicycle races July 12. Racing every Friday night through August 30.
