July 8, 2025 – For Immediate Release:
Franklin, PA – It’s shaping up to be a can’t-miss night of racing action this weekend at Tri-City Raceway Park, as the Hovis Auto and Truck Supply 410 Sprint Cars return to the half mile with $5,000 on the line for the winner!
So far this season, three different drivers have found Victory Lane in five races – and the competition is only heating up. AJ Flick kicked things off back on Opening Night (April 18) and came back strong to grab his second win of the year during the Fast on Dirt Sprint Series event on July 4, pocketing $4,000 in fireworks fashion.
Ricky Peterson has been the most consistent wheelman so far, snagging two wins (May 9 and June 13) and leading the points standings heading into the weekend. Steven Snyder Jr. also grabbed a big one, taking the checkers during the Western PA Sprint Speedweek show earlier this year.
With five grand up for grabs this Friday, you can expect the pits to be packed and the elbows up, as some of the region’s best look to cash in.
Keep an eye on Logan McCandless, who’s coming off a strong runner-up finish last weekend and is hungry for his first win of the season. Brandon Matus has shown plenty of speed and could break through at any time, while veteran Bob Felmlee, Tri-City’s second all-time winningest driver in the 410 Sprint division, is always a threat to park it in Victory Lane.
Here’s the Sprint car purse:
$5,000 to win $350 to start, purse as follows: 1. 5,000, 2. 2,500, 3. 1,750, 4. 1,250, 5. 1,100, 6. 900, 7. 750, 8. 700, 9.650, 10. 600, 11. 550, 12. 525, 13. 500, 14. 450, 15. 425, 16 thru18. 400, 19&20. 375, 21 thru 24 350, Total purse $21,000, Tow money $125.00
Also on the card Friday night are the Shawgo Real Estate Pro Stocks, where Josh Seippel will be looking to make it three straight wins. Bobby Whitling comes in with two victories so far this season, while Mike Miller has picked up one win.
In the RUSH Sprint Cars, the big question is: Can anyone stop Blaze Myers? He’s been dominant, going for his fourth straight win and his fifth of the year.
The RUSH Stock Cars have been exciting and unpredictable, with three different winners in three races this season: Billy Myers, Cameron Kramer, and Raidden Wilson. It’s anyone’s guess who will come out on top this time.
In addition to the full regular program, we’ll also be making up the June 13th rained-out features for both the RUSH Sprint and RUSH Stock Cars. These make-up features will be run before the regular show begins, and we’ll be throwing the green flag at 6:30 PM sharp to get them in. Make sure to get there early so you don’t miss a minute of the action!
