POINT PLEASANT, WV – I’ve been to 90 Race Tracks in 11 states and I love trying out all of the foods at these tracks! I’m gonna tell you about the top 5 foods that I have eaten at tracks over the years. I will start at 5 and work down to the number 1 food!

5. The 5th place item comes from the famous Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky! It’s their awesome Cheese Brat! These things melt in your mouth and are great plain and even better with some mustard thrown on them. I usually go to Florence every year for the North South 100, the Ralph Latham Memorial and the Spring 50 and ‘m always getting me some of these. They’re only like $2 and you will love them!

4. The next one is at a lot of the big Late Model events . I think it’s from Bowman Concessions and it’s the awesome pork chop sandwich. These things are amazing, cooked just right and then he smothers it in steak sauce and OMG, it’s to die for. They’re pricey at $6 but I always buy 2 or 3 when I see them at a big event.

3. The next item is the famous pizza burger from the famous Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. I go to Eldora at least twice a year for the Dream and the World 100 and sometimes even more and you can bet that when I do, I’m getting a couple of these yummy items. It’s a burger with mozzarella cheese and pepperoni and it’s only like $2.50.

2. The next item is the East Bay Raceway Park strawberry shortcakes. I went to the East Bay WinterNationals at one point like 9 out of 10 years and when I went you could bet that I’d eat 2 or 3 of these a day. They have the fresh strawberries from Florida on a shortcake and its covered in whipped cream. Do yourself a favor, buy this and you will not leave disappointed. I haven’t been to East Bay in a while but I hope to get back there soon and this is the first thing I will buy when I get there.

1. The #1 dirt track concession item is the famous Portsmouth Raceway Park corn dog. The batter is made fresh every race night by the concession queen, Jenny Coleman and it’s to die for. I go to PRP a lot for all of their specials and probably 10 more times besides that and I almost always eat 2 and usually more. These are made fresh everyday and they are so good you don’t need ketchup or mustard on them but if you want it, go for it. They are $3 but they are huge and worth every dollar!!

These are my top 5 but there are many more good items at every race track. But remember go and support the tracks and buy the food it keeps them open and it fills our bellies.
