Renegade of Dirt Modified Tour Unveils 2013 “Back For More” Tour!

(Middlebourne, WV) The Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour is pleased to announce it’s ambitious “Back For More” tour to it’s participants, fans, and motorsports enthusiasts alike. The second year tour has all systems set on go in anticipation for it’s follow up campaign that saw Columbus, Ohio’s Bobby Kitchen claim the inaugural championship over teammate Bart Hartman with a points battle that came down to the final A-Main event. The nation’s fastest growing modified tour will not only highlight an intriguing array of modified events from April to September but will feature some of the highest modified twelve to fourteen events throughout four different states including three new venues to be counted among the region’s stalwart headline facilities that repeat as tour stops in 2013. “We are extremely excited to announce our 2013 tour and we appreciate everyone’s patience while we worked diligently to provide these big shows for the modifieds” stated Watson. “We also want to extend a huge thanks to all of our 2013 host facilities, without their support none of this would be possible” concluded Watson.

Racers from all over the Eastern United States will look to converge on the Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, OH on April 12th and 13th as they dive into the highly anticipated season. The 3/8 mile dirt facility will host the 2nd Annual “Monster Modified Weekend” utilizing two days of racing action along side the World of Outlaw Late Model Dirt Series to crown the first feature winner of 2013. A generous $4000 dollar top prize and an early point lead will also await the year’s first visitor of victory lane. Just one week later the tour will jump back into action for it’s spring ventures to the Hilltop Speedway in Millersburg, OH to see who will lay claim to the title of “King of the Hill”. Lance Elson was the victor of this event just one year ago that saw a tour high fifty four modified participants. Also on the weekend agenda is a first ever appearance to the newly reconfigured West Virginia Motor Speedway in Mineral Wells, WV for a “Speedplant Showdown” dubbed the WV/OH Modified Dirtwarz II. The double dose of Renegade action will feature a pair of $2,000 to win, $200 to start shows on Saturday and Sunday, April 20th and 21st . Renegade racers will showcase their talent at the “Speedplant” to a large crowd expected to be on hand to witness the speedway’s season opener and the Renegade tour compete as the under card to the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series for the first time in it’s short history. The entire modified world will then turn it’s attention to the 2nd running of the “Let it Ride 55” which will boast a total $40,000 weekend purse making it a record setting show for the Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour. The intense two day May 25th and 26th event will once again be part of motorsports best deal and biggest show of the season, the Bullring Bonanza. Participant’s will then gear up for a “RACER’S VACATION” that is sure to be an exciting and intense four straight nights of Renegade of Dirt Modified Tour action dubbed the “Duel on Dirt” Speedweek schedule in conjunction with the inaugural “ICON Memorial Tour” Late Model Speedweek. The four straight nights of racing action will all feature the same $1200 to win, $150 to start format as the “Renegades” will return to the Tyler County Speedway on Thursday June 13th to get the extended race weekend started. Racers will then make their second and final stop of the season at the Wayne County Speedway June 14th. Pittsburgh Motor Speedway (PPMS) will welcome the East’s elite racers for the first time on June 15th and a return visit to the West Virginia Motor Speedway on June 16th will round out the full slate of touring action. A month and a half “summer break” will grant racers a chance to regroup prior to the inaugural Renegade of Dirt Modified Tour “Southern Swing”. A sure to be action packed all-new venue for the 2013 season will greet the tour as they cross into the state of Virginia where the standout ½ mile Virginia dirt facility, Wythe Raceway in Rural Retreat, VA will play host to their first Renegade of Dirt Modified Tour event with a $2000 to win, $200 to start battle for bragging rights on August 3rd. As most race tracks regular seasons begin to come to an end the Renegade of Dirt Modified Tour will heat up with a big month of September. Racers will reconvene on the “Bullring” in Middlebourne, WV at the Tyler County Speedway for the third and final time of the season for a two day weekend September 13th and 14th. Friday night will feature a complete show for the Renegade of Dirt Modifieds with race and purse details TBA. Also on the Friday night docket will be the highly anticipated “EDGE National Championship” race among the top eighteen EDGE point finalists that will claim the inaugural EDGE E-Mod National Point Champion. The stakes will then crank up for the 9th running of the “Dickson Classic” which is approaching nearly a decade of racing tradition. Last year’s version went on to be an instant “classic” when lady racer Deana Groves of Morgantown, WV claimed her first Renegade of Dirt Modified Tour win of her career. The prestigious event will once again award a $2000 top prize and the victor will join the elite ranks of past winners that read’s like a “who’s who” of modified racing. The national spotlight will then turn its attention on the tour’s season finale set for September 28th and 29th at the 3/8th mile Hilltop Speedway in Millersburg, OH.
