FASTRAK Mid-Ohio Valley “Gears Up” For Three Day Race Weekend

(Carnesville, GA) — Heavy rains once again forced the cancellation of the weekly FASTRAK Mid-Ohio Valley racing action but it looks like the weatherman is finally going to provide area teams, drivers and race fans with three days of exciting FASTRAK Mid-Ohio Valley action as they celebrate our nation’s birthday.

FASTRAK MOV competitors will visit the Tyler County Speedway (Middlebourne, WV), on Thursday, July 2nd. The special “Thursday Night Thunder” racing action will feature the BRP Big Block Modifieds as they visit “The Bullring” to battle for the $5,000.00 first place prize money.

The speedway’s seven weekly division, including the FASTRAK Pro-Late Models, will also be in action. The winner of the FASTRAK feature event will receive a guaranteed starting position in the “Mega In The Mountains” event that will take place July 9, 10 and 11. A huge Zambelli fireworks display will cap off the evening.

FASTRAK MOV racing action will continue on Friday, July 3rd, as the FASTRAK Mid-Ohio Valley Touring Series will visit the Historic Hilltop Speedway in Marietta, OH. The “Red, White and Vroom” Fan Appreciation event will showcase the stars of the FASTRAK Mid-Ohio Valley in a 30 lap main event paying $1,200.00 to win. The quarter mile, paper-clip shaped oval, has hosted racing action since the early 1960’s and fans will certainly see lots of great racing action when the FASTRAK Mid-Ohio Valley Touring Series makes its first ever appearance at the speedway.

Fans who are looking for some great Fourth of July racing action can add the Ohio Valley Speedway (Lubeck,WV) to their calendar as the speedway will host the stars of FASTRAK Mid-Ohio Valley on Saturday, July 4th. The payout for this evening will be the same as the weekly FASTRAK MOV purse used at Tyler County Speedway. The evening’s racing action will also include the Super Late Models, Modifieds, Pure Stocks, Four Cylinders and Mini-Wedges. Don’t forget that the FASTRAK Mid-Ohio Valley Touring Series will return to action the following weekend as they are part of Tyler County Speedway’s Inaugural “Mega In The Mountains” weekend that kicks off on Thursday, July 9th. The blockbuster event of the summer will feature the FASTRAK Pro-Late Models competing in a 35-lap main event, the MEGA 35, with the winner picking up a $3,000.00 payday.

The “Mega In The Mountains” event is also a FASTRAK National Event as the stars from FASTRAK Southeast will be joining the Mid-Ohio Valley competitors to battle for the victory.
Practice for all divisions will take place on Thursday evening. A Pit Party and live entertainment will close out the evening at 9:30PM.

Heat race action for the FASTRAK competitors will take place on Friday, July 10th along with qualifying events for the Renegades of DIRT E-Mods, the UFo Super Late Models, STARS Mod Lites and the Hot Mods. UFo Late Model action will also include a 44 lap main event paying the winner $5,000.00.

Saturday’s pre-race activities include an autograph session followed by the main events for the Renegades of DIRT E-Mods, UFo Super Lates, FASTRAK Pro-Late Models, STARS Mod Lites, Hot Mods and the Four Cylinders. The first ever “Mega In The Mountains” event has garnered a lot of well-deserved media attention over the past several weeks; it is definitely one of the most talked about events of the year so make your plans to be a part of this historical weekend.
