COLUMBUS, OH – With cold temperatures and snow on the ground it’s easy to find yourself with a case of the winter racing blues. For me once racing ends in October I am sad but a little relieved it is over, but after a couple weeks your like “Man I wish I was at the races.” To cope I find myself watching old race videos (recorded by OVDTR of course LOL) and looking at racing pictures. I have even dug out old racing magazines and books. Nothing brings back memories for me than looking through my old STARS yearbooks. Getting together with racing buddies during the winter to talk some racing also is a fun way to cope. Also during the off season or the “silly season” they call it, the rumors start flying and the breaking news starts breaking. You find yourself on message boards, websites, facebook, and even twitter finding information about what track is doing what, what driver is doing what and so forth. Some of it will get you excited and some of it will make you mad, but at least you have something to talk about until racing starts back up. As racing season grows closer your excitement will build stronger. Hang in there people, only a few more months to go until we all can smell those fumes and hear those engines. That will definitely cure your winter racing blues!
