(CHARLOTTE, NC ) – The FUEL Racing Series is pleased to announce the addition of Beckley Motor Speedway to its 2014 touring schedule. The historic high banked 3/8 mile facility, in its first year under the ownership of Rick Strattis, traditionally offers multiple lanes of racing for the competitors and exciting action for the fans. The $3000 to win event is scheduled for Friday September 12th as FUEL officials are already working diligently with Beckley in preparation for the track’s first ever CT525 touring race.

“Beckley is definitely a welcomed addition to our series and schedule”, stated Series Director Jason Atkins. “I was thrilled to receive their call and appreciate the interest they have expressed in FUEL. This event offers our drivers a totally different look and helps expand the FUEL brand and overall reach. We’ve been blessed with great racing so far this season. I look forward to working with Rick, Joe, and the Beckley staff for this event and hopefully many more in the future.”

“We are excited to announce this partnership between our speedway and FUEL”, stated promoter Joe Rush. “We are thrilled to be the first track in The Mountain State to host an official CT525 touring event. We see the FUEL series picking up steam to the south of us and we are happy to jump on board to host this event. With the talent the series brings with its drivers, it’s sure to be an exciting show with 3 and possibly 4 wide racing!”

In 3 events so far this season, 3 drivers (Brett Hamm, Ross Bailes, & Jonathan Davenport) have visited victory lane. Will that trend continue this season and at Beckley?
