Renegades Of Dirt Add “Ohio River Shootout”

(Middlebourne, WV) The Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour presented by Arizona Sport Shirts is anxious to announce two additional touring shows to it’s 2014 season schedule. The pair of events will both be at first time venues for the three year open wheel modified organization that continues it’s growth by the day. On August 1stand 2ndthe Renegades of Dirt will invade the Legendary Hilltop Speedway and the Ohio Valley Speedway for a double header weekend appropriately being dubbed as the “Ohio River Shootout” presented by Adrenaline Performance Products. The weekend will take the tour along the beautiful banks of the Ohio River each night in search for a pair of $1,500 dollar paydays. Both nights guarantee excitement at some of the raciest places in the region featuring two tacky short tracks that tend to provide tons of two and three wide action. In addition, race fans are highly anticipating the ‘shootout’ between the traveling series regulars from at least six states and those who have made the local area their stomping grounds since dirt modifieds got their start in the region over twenty years ago.

On Friday night August 1st the Renegades of Dirt Modified Tour presented by Arizona Sport Shirts will make the short trip to Legendary Hilltop Speedway in Marietta, OH for the first night of the “Ohio River Shootout” presented by Adrenaline Performance Products. Awaiting the Renegades of Dirt will be the tight confines of the ¼ mile dirt oval, a true ‘grassroots’ racing facility welcoming it’s first ever touring series since being brought back to life in 2012. Hosting what may be it’s biggest show since the grand re-opening an anticipated large crowd will pack the Legendary Hilltop Speedway to witness the out of state stars of the tour like Rich Michael, Kyle Strickler, Derrick Ramey, Taylor Cook, Tyler Nicely, Travis Dickson, Patrick Lyon, and more take on local legends like Kenny Johnson, Andy Bond, Jeremy Blake, and Robert Garnes.

The Legendary Hilltop Speedway is located adjacently along the Ohio River on St.Rt. 7 at 863 Blue Knob Road, Marietta, OH 45750. On Saturday August 2nd “The Beast’s of the East” will then load up and travel “just across the bridge” into the ‘Mountain State’ for the second night of the “Ohio River Shootout” presented by Adrenaline Performance Products at the Ohio Valley Speedway in Lubeck, WV. The 3/8 mile ‘paperclip’ dirt oval will also play host to the Renegades of Dirt for the first time as the local AMRA contingent will once again look to best the traveling stars. Rookie of the Year candidate Tyler Evans of Mineral Wells will also seek to gain ground on Tyler Nicely on his home turf. Evans a regular competitor at the Ohio Valley Speedway trails Nicely by just 40 points as the pair of youngsters continue to battle for the highly coveted rookie title and the 4th and 5th spots in the championship standings.
