(New Castle, PA) After a three week layoff, the Homak Penn Ohio Pro Stock Series will be back in action this Thursday, July 10 as part of the annual Trumbull County Fair located in Cortland, Ohio. The series will be featured along with the BRP Modified Series for a 20 Lap $700.00 to win show, stop #4 on the 2014 campaign. “We are excited about the opportunity to be included with the annual fair” noted series director and current point leader Shaun Hooks. “Expo is a unique racetrack that I am sure is going to present a different set of circumstances for our racers.”

Hooks will be in competition along with several other Homak Penn Ohio Pro Stock Championship drivers as he currently leads the point standings and is coming off of a win at Eriez Speedway on Father’s Day, the most recent event. Chris Withers and Curt Bish scored the other victories in the series in 2014. Sixteen (16) registered drivers have participated in all three events thus far with an average car count of 34. In addition to the race purse, Mays Towing and Wedge Motorsports have combined to add $350.00 to the possible winnings with $200 going to the highest finishing registered Homak Penn Ohio Driver, followed by $100 and $50 respectively. $50.00 compliments of GM Roofing will be awarded to the hard charger and a $50.00 certificate sponsored by Wedge Motorsports will go to the driver with the toughest luck. Additional prizes will be given out through a random drawing. The normal fast time award of $50.00 sponsored by CD Gibbs Construction will be based upon a draw from all heat winners as there is no timing or scoring equipment at the fairgrounds.

Racers are reminded that there will not be any fuel for sale at the track and need to come prepared. The pit gates will open at 3:00 and hot laps are set to begin at 5:30 with the first race scheduled for 6:00 PM. There are no lights at the fairgrounds, so teams should expect that the show will move rapidly. Pit Passes are $20.00 and Fair Admission including the grandstands is just $8.00! The fairgrounds are located at 899 Everett Cortland Hull Rd. Cortland, Ohio.

The Homak Penn Ohio Pro Stock Championship Series will feature at least 10 events located in Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania at various tracks utilizing the tracks rules and format. Registered Drivers for the series will receive points towards the year end championship with a guaranteed $10,000 point fund. Additional Sponsorships and contingency program opportunities are still available.
