Legendary Hilltop Adds Greg Schilling Memorial Qualifier

As anticipation builds for the 7th Annual Greg Schilling Memorial race set for June 26th 2015 at the Legendary Hilltop Speedway in Marietta Ohio, the Schilling family and friends along with the staff at the Legendary Hilltop Speedway have decided to add to the excitement of the always popular modified event with the addition of a Greg Schilling Memorial “Qualifier” race. The Qualifier race which is set for Friday June 5th, will give area modified drivers an opportunity to race for a special $999 to win payout in the AMRA Modifieds as well as the first right to a guaranteed starting spot in the Greg Schilling memorial.

What will make this event so unique for fans and teams is that the guaranteed starting spot is not limited to just the winner of the “qualifier” race. For example, if the winner of the race on June 5th, races his way in to the feature on June 26th (memorial night), the “guaranteed spot” will go to the next highest finishing driver from the qualifier who fails to race his way into the feature on the Greg Schilling Memorial evening. This driver who will be determined officially on June 26th, will receive the highly coveted starting spot and will start the feature in the 20th position! The staff at Legendary Hilltop is very excited about this event in preparation for the always special Greg Schilling Memorial that will be held at Legendary Hilltop for the first time in the races existence, in 2015.

The ¼ mile track located off of Route 7 between Belpre and Marietta Ohio has played host to some impressive car counts and some very exciting racing action so far in the 2015 season. The track is preparing for a busy stretch of racing through June and July, which will be highlighted by the Greg Schilling Memorial race.
