Conneaut, OH (July 21, 2015): Super Late Models were the headlining class at Raceway 7 from its start in 1970 through the end of the 2007 season. Since then the class has only run periodic specials. The last time the class raced at Raceway 7 was July 19, 2013, with the class’s final champion, Rob Blair, taking the win. Expected entries include Blair and current Crate Late Model standout Darrell Bossard. Greg And Michael Oakes, Jason DuPont, Chris Hackett, Bump Hedman, and several others are also expected to appear and run for the $1500 winner’s purse.

All regular classes will race as well with the Bonnell Collision Center RUSH Crate Late Models being the premier class with former champion Chad Wright leading the charge. With six feature wins this season the driver known as “Wild Child” enjoys a 49-point edge over Dennis Lunger, the 2009 champion. Defending champion Kyle Zimmerman, who won his first feature of the season last week, is third, another 29 markers behind Lunger. Lunger has two wins this year while Billy Henry and Bob Pifer each have one feature win.

2009 champion and three-time winner this season Percy McDonald leads the chase for the Bonnell Collision Center E-Mods championship by 34-points over Ken Zimmer, a two time winner this year. Chuck Steinle Jr, although winless thus far this season, is third, another 79-markers from second and only three points ahead of two-time winner Brent Rhebergen. Justin Carlson, Brandon Blackshear, Joel Watson, and Mike Kinney each have one win this season.

On the strength of four feature wins Shaun Fawcett leads the way in the Campbell’s Mini-Storage Street Stocks championship tilt over defending champion Chris Withers. Withers has yet to score his first win this season at Raceway 7 but is consistently near the front. Ed Bolyard, with two feature wins is third in the standings. Although Brandon Groters also has four feature victories, he is back in fourth as the result of several mechanical ailments, forcing him to miss the past two weeks of racing. Groters is expected to appear this week and will be a threat to win feature number five. Rusty Martz won a Penn-Ohio Pro Stock feature earlier in the season.

Veteran Rick Prosser sits atop the heap in the race for the Bonnell Auto Sales Economods championship. Prosser has two wins this season and leads four-time winner and defending champion Josh Ferry by 61-points. One of Ferry’s four wins was the special $500 to win event last week. Russ Kapalin currently sits third in the standings but a rough wreck at Eriez Speedway earlier this month has interrupted his season. It is unknown at this time if he will be able to rejoin the title chase this season. Jace Ferringer has two wins on the season with Brad Blackshear, Steve Haefke, and Jason Longwell each scoring one win.

Brad Cole, the 2013 Specialty Products Mini Stocks champion, currently leads 2012 champion Bud Sergeff in his quest for his second championship by only twenty markers. Defending champion Dale Fraschetti is currently third. Sergeff has four victories while Fraschetti and Cole each have two wins.
