Just 1 week after the season opening Frostbuster Special drew a near record crowd and saw the 3 reigning AMRA Champions take home feature wins, the Legendary Hilltop Speedway will host their opening point’s night this week on Friday April 1st. Also with a series of large races planned in 2016 at “The Top,” track officials intend to ensure that at certain TBA events, Provisionals are awarded to track point contenders such as what is planned for the River City Showdown in June.

Those in attendance last Friday, at the season opening Frostbuster event, saw high speeds and multi-groove racing on the ¼ mile track, just as the crew intended. While there is rain in the forecast later this week, it is the track crews plan to work throughout the week to ensure that the track provides just as exciting racing during Friday’s event which looks to feature a much more favorable forecast on Friday. Fans who also braved the cold and attended the Frostbuster, were also treated to numerous facility improvements including the addition of 200 grandstand seats along the front stretch, which were near capacity and saw great reviews.

Track officials hope to see another great crowd of race fans and teams this Friday night! Gates are scheduled to open at 3, with the drivers meeting set for 6:30 and racing slated to begin at 7.
