Legendary Hilltop Ready For STARS and Legends 30

(Marietta, Ohio) Legendary Hilltop Speedway officials are putting the final touches in place as the track prepares to host its Inaugural “Legends 30” event which will be highlighted by a $3,000 to win, $300 to start STARS Late Model Special. The event which will be the largest single Late Model payout to date for the track, will also mark the first appearance for the recently revived STARS Late Model Tour to “The Top”. Along with racing in all other regular classes, the event will also honor 3 of Hilltop’s past racing legends as Bob Adams Jr, Dave Robinson and Bernie Triplet will all be in attendance and take part in various tribute activities planned throughout the evening. Track officials are very excited to share that there will be a couple special surprise “Tributes” that fans will see during the event and fans are encouraged to keep an eye out for a few “throwbacks” throughout the night.

The “Legends 30” race will be the 6th event of 2016 for Legendary Hilltop as the 1/4th mile track heads into some very busy summer months. The “Legends 30” race is expected to draw a field full of regional and even national favorites to the Marietta Ohio track, who will all have to do battle with an absolutely stout field of local favorites including 2015 Track Champion Tyler Carpenter who has won 4 of 5 Late Model events in 2016. The evening of racing is also scheduled to include the always exciting AMRA Modifieds which have continued their long reputation of exciting door to door racing at “The Top” already in 2016 and seem to never leave fans for a lack of racing excitement. The AMRA Sport Mods, Street Stocks, 4 Cyinders and Mini Wedges will also be in action and are sure to deliver even more racing action to those in attendance.

Pit Gates will swing open at 3 PM on Friday afternoon with General Admission Gates opening at 4. The evenings drivers meeting is slated for 6:45 and Mini Wedges will take to the track at 7:05 with Hot Laps to follow. Admission rates will fall under the tracks “Special Event” rates with $15 Gen Admission and $30 Pit Passes.
