Elkins Raceway management is excited to announce the renewal of the R. H. Armstrong Memorial this weekend, a tribute to the long-time race-car owner/builder and one-time track promoter, and is co-sponsored by Rick Sturms and Styers’ Concrete.

The two-day weekend will kick off with a regular five division Friday Night Thunder program, with the Jenkins Ford Super Late Models, Budweiser Fastrak division, Performance Chevrolet AMRA Modifieds, WV Pools Street Stocks, and BCT Construction Mini-Mods all vying for track points as the season rapidly winds down.

Saturday night’s action also includes all the divisions with increased purses across the board. The Jenkins Ford Super Lates will compete for a $4000 winner’s purse; the Budweiser Fastraks for $1000 to win; the Performance Chevrolet AMRA Modifieds for $750; and WV Pools Street Stocks for $500. An added attraction will be another of the track’s traditionally spectacular fireworks displays.

Admission gates open at 6 pm both nights; General Admission will be $10 on Friday and $15 on Saturday for everyone ages 12+.
