Conneaut, OH (July 25, 2017): The Bonnell Auto Group Economods will be in the spotlight this week at Raceway 7 with their biggest race of the season, the “Two-Barrel Rumble”, paying $1000 to win. Brandon Blackshear, the winner on opening night, leads the standings over defending champion Steve Haefke by 29-points. Haefke won last Sunday, his first Raceway 7 win of the season. Tyler Frankenberry, the winner June 16, is third, another 21 back, then Eric Reinwald, with one win, and Geoff Conn, winless thus far, filling out the top five. Any of the top five drivers are capable of a win on any given Friday so the $1000 winner’s purse ought to make the battle for the checkers extra exciting.

All regular classes will be running as well with all points races stating to heat up as the season gets near the closing stages. Dave Airgood leads the Evergreen Lake Park Campground CARS Crate Late Model championship standings by 28-points over former champion Kyle Zimmerman with Wendall Pinckney only another seven points back. Then it gets really tight as Darrell Bossard is only another two points back in fourth and defending champion Dennis Lunger fifth, sixteen points behind Bossard.

Current Bonnell Collision Service E-Mods points leader and defending champion Joel Watson has only one win this season (June 16) but he leads Gary Eicher by 40 points in the season-long points battle. Eicher also has one win, that coming on July 14. Troy Johnson has not yet scored a win but consistent good finishes have kept him near the front of the standings, only two behind Eicher. Ken Zimmer, with two wins, June 2 and last Sunday, is only four markers from third. Only 46-points separate the top four. Jeff Johnson is fifth, another 67 points in arrears of Zimmer.

Former champion Shaun Fawcett leads the Campbell’s Mini Storage Street Stocks standings by only eight points over Jamie Duncan. Fawcett was the opening night winner but Duncan has yet to enter Raceway 7’s Victory Lane this summer. Jimmy Kennernecht, the winner June 16, only has a three-point deficit from second. Garrett Calvert is fourth, another 38 points back, and Don McGuire is fifth, eight behind Calvert.

The tightest points race at this juncture is the Sunnyside Farm Transit Mini Stocks, where Bill Fuchs has a razor-thin margin of only a solitary point over Joe Campbell. Fuchs has accomplished the feat without winning a feature, as yet, but has four second place finishes in six features run this far. Defending champion Jason Easler is 81-points back in third with Jim Jones just three points back in fourth. Logan Keney is fifth, 32 points behind Jones.
