Meet Your Heroes Selfie Night & Sport Compact ‘Full Throttle Series’ Headline Bullring This Week

Join us this Saturday Night, April 28th as the Tyler County Speedway presents the always crowd pleasing ‘Meet Your Heroes’ Selfie Night. A rare opportunity awaits fans of America’s Baddest Bullring as we present Fan Appreciation Autograph Night, take a stroll down onto the track and get up close with the regions best racers. Be sure to bring your sharpies, photos and most importantly phones to capture the ‘Selfie of the Night’. Just tag the Tyler County Speedway in all your favorite ‘Selfies’ and we will pick a winner with a great prize pack to the best!

Also on tap will be the 1st event of the Sport Compact ‘Full Throttle Series’. A four race mini series with increasing payouts throughout the series that will greet eager racers of the economically minded 4 Cylinder division. Leg #1 will pay $300 to win with Leg #2 on Sunday, May 27th $500, Leg #3 is on June 30th $600 and culminating into the 50th Hillbilly Hundred Weekend paying $700 to win. A separate point structure will be kept with the top 3 being honored at the Annual Awards Banquet with the champion earning a Full Throttle Series Champion jacket, Commemorative Trophy and a 2019 Bullring Season Pass.

A stellar season highlighted by impressive car counts, outstanding racing action and lots of first time winners have been the early season story. So far in the J&R Excavating Super Late Models it’s been a pair of youngsters dominating the action as Tyler Carpenter and Michael Lake have each picked up wins. A strong field of 2 Brothers AMRA Modifieds have shown to be quite competitive as Ischua, NY’s Rich Michael and 3rd generation racer Daniel Hill have each tallied a win among the open wheelers. A pair of Pennsylvania aces have found a home in the Mountain State as Michael ‘Mad Dog’ Duritsky and defending champion Kyle Lukon have secured hard earned trips to victory lane. ‘Dynamite’ Danny Thomas has dominated the competition in the early going in the Sigler Fabrication EDGE Hotmods presented by Poske Performance Parts. A highly competitive Jenkins Auto Parts Modlite Division has seen first time winner Sam Richards and 2016 track Champion Ryan Saffell notch wins in the early going. Kevin Criswell and perennial winner Bill Tennant have swapped checkered linen in the Sport Compacts first two mains of the season. Keith Powell has blistered the Gear 2 Graphics MWRA Junior division by going 2 for 2 so far. In the Senior MWRA division a steady Gage Stalder and smooth Ryan Hare have been the class of the field so far in the early season in the Youth League of Auto Racing.

General admission for this Saturday’s event is $12, while Kids 10 & under are free with pit passes $30. Gates open at 4:00, MWRA Mini Wedges at 6:00, Hotlaps at 6:45.
