Lake, Martin, Hurrelbrink, Champisano All Collect Thunder Mountain Victories

Knox Dale- The Friday night lights turned on to go racing at Thunder Mountain Speedway. Hot laps and time trials of semi late models started off the evening. The first feature of the evening were the Chad Lilley Septic Services Street Stocks. Ray Hickok Jr and Bill Hurrelbrink made up the front row to go green for twenty laps. On the start, Hickok and Hurrelbrink battled for the lead before Hurrelbrink took the lead coming out of turn four. Gary Luzier, who running third, reeled in Hickok for second as Allen English rode in the fourth position. Brandon Connor and Dale Yeaney battled for fifth before a caution came out for the front stretch. On the restart, Hurrelbrink, Hickok, and Luzier go three wide for the lead before Hurrelbrink pulled away from the field. Two laps later, the checkered flag was out for Bill Hurrelbrink as he went on to win the feature event. Hurrelbrink was followed by Ray Hickok Jr, Gary Luzier, Brandon Connor, Dale Yeaney, and Allen English. Mark Clark and Zach Gustafson were DNS. Heat winners were Bill Hurrelbrink and Ray Hickok Jr.

The second feature of the evening was the two thousand to win Windstream Semi Late Models. Jared Ivory and Nick Loffredo made up the front row for twenty five laps. After four cautions/restarts to get the first lap in, things started to pick up on the green flag. Jarid Ivory would take the lead coming out of turn two as Nick Loffredo drifts high in turn two. One lap later, the yellow flag would come out for turn two. On the restart, Ivory takes the lead before another caution came out for a pile up in turn three. The sixth restart seen Ivory take the lead again as Joe Martin and Nick Loffredo battled for second. Doug Surra rode in fourth as Eddie Connor made it into the top five running in fifth. one lap later, Martin battles Ivory for the lead as Surra reels in Loffredo for third. Lap traffic came into play as Ivory and Martin came out of turn four. Coming out of turn two, Martin drove away to take the lead from Ivory. A yellow flag would come out once again for a wreck in turn two. On the restart, Martin takes the lead as Loffredo rode in second. Doug Surra would battle Jarid Ivory for third as Kevin Dickson and Nick Erskine battled for sixth. As the laps started to count down, Tommy Kronenwetter in the 4K started to move forward as he past Gabe Shaffer for seventh. At the end, it was all Joe Martin who went on to win another Semi Late Model feature. Martin was followed by Nick Loffredo, Jarid Ivory, Eddie Connor, Nick Erskine, Kevin Dickson, Tommy Kronenwetter, Gabe Shaffer, Gary Little, Todd English, Rich Wicker, Luke Barnett, Scott Umbaugh, Vern Ward, Jim Challingsworth, Doug Zimmerman, Joey Kot, Doug Surra, Caleb Whiteford, Cheyenne Reed, Bernie Whiteford, Dennis Curry, John Wayne Weaver, and Eric Lucas. The B-Main was won by Eric Lucas. Heat winners were Todd English, Tommy Kronenwetter, Joe Martin, and Jarid Ivory.

The third feature of the night were Legend Powersports Super Late Models. Matt Lux and Clay Ruffo made up the front row to go green for twenty five laps. Matt Lux would take the early lead as Jared Miley and Jon Lee battled for second. Coming out of turn four, Jared Miley took the lead from Lux. Michael Lake was on the move once again, and passed Jon Lee for third. Charlie Powell in the 94 passed Lee for fourth before a caution came out for turn two. On the restart, Lake goes high in turn two to take the lead from Miley as Powell and Lux battled for third. Kyle Knapp rode in fifth before another caution came out for turn two. On the second restart, Miley battled Lake for the lead coming out of turn two as Powell got around Lux for third. A lap later, Powell slows on the backstretch coming out of turn two. The third restart seen a pile up in turn one. The fourth restart seen Matt Lux and Jared Miley battle for second before Miley pulls a slide job coming out of turn four to take over the second place position. At the end, it was Micheal Lake who went on to win his third feature in a row at Thunder Mountain. Lake was followed by, Jared Miley, Jon Lee, Matt Lux, Skip Lindemuth, Gale Huey, Dwayne Brooks, Del Rougeux, Charlie Powell, Clay Ruffo, and Casey Wolfe. Heat winners were Jared Miley and Michael Lake.

The last feature of the night were the Bubba’s Racing Supply Front Wheel Drive Four Cylinders. Eric Luzier and John Champisano made up the front row for fifteen laps. Champisano took the early lead before a caution came out for turn two. On the restart, Curtis Mohney and Eric Luzier battled for second before Mohney took over the second place position. Joe Huber in the 8A battled Luzier for third as the 42 of Jeff Huber reeled in Luzier as well for fourth. Wayne Truitt in the 54 raced his way into the top five as he rode in fifth. At the end, it was all John Champisano who led all fifteen laps to collect another Thunder Mountain victory. Champisano was followed by Curtis Mohney, Joe Huber, Jeff Huber, DJ Clark, Chad Greeley, Wayne Truitt, Eric Luzier, Austin Fedder, Greg Kiehl, Jason Rittenhouse, Richard Nelson, Timmy Howe, and Ryan Lippert. Heat winners were Eric Luzier and John Champisano.
