BOSS Ohio Valley / Atomic Weekend Ahead

2 min read

The MPD Racing Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series made its inaugural visit to Ohio Valley Speedway a year ago. Willow Branch, Indiana’s Isaac Chapple scored the win over a 22-car field. It was one of Chapple’s record-setting five consecutive wins on the tour. Despite the record winning run, he came up one spot short of the 2021 championship title. Entering this weekend’s doubleheader, Chapple holds a commanding point lead. However, Greencastle, Indiana’s Jesse Vermillion and Ventura, California’s Ricky Lewis are both withing striking distance.

Following up the Friday night event at Ohio Valley, the wingless warriors will return to where it all began, THE Atomic Speedway. It was there at Atomic, July 16, 2011, that the BOSS tour held its inaugural event. Ione, California’s Justin Grant scored the win in a Mark Hery owned car. As of now, Mark plans to be at Atomic this Saturday, with his son, Travis, wheeling their #21 entry.
