Charlie Field Sr. Memorial Now $1,250To Win For Crates At Latrobe Speedway: Big Block Modifieds Make First Appearance

LATROBE, PA (July 5, 2022) – The Inaugural Charlie Field Sr. Memorial for the K2 Engineering Crate Late Models this Saturday, July 9 has received added bonuses. Thanks to some great sponsors the race will now pay the winner $1250 for the 24-lap event.

In addition to the $1000 the Field family added to the top ten, Bubba’s Concession is adding $250 more to the winners share of the event that was paying $1000 to win. The winners will now receive $1250.

Also division sponsor K2 Engineering has put up $250. $100 will go to second place uping it to $725, $75 to third which is now $550, $50 to fourth taking it to $450 and $25 for fifth making it $375.

Charlie Field Sr. raced and also had two sons, Mark and Charlie Jr., who raced Pure Stocks and E-Mods. Charlie Jr. has E-Mod wins at Latrobe Speedway from the early 2000’s. Today, his grandson Michael Ott, continues the family tradition in the Crate Late Models. Michael was a three time winner last year and is looking for his first of 2022. I’m sure he would love nothing more than to make that Saturday, July 9.

Thanks to the Field family, K2 Engineering and Bubba’s Concession the 24-lap feature will pay $1250. The top ten purse rundown is:

Making the night even more special is the first appearance of the season for the Big Block Modifieds paying them $2000 for first place. Joining them is the Special T Metals Pro Stocks, Joe’s Body Shop Pure Stocks and the Stone & Co. Modified 4 Cylinders. The Seal Tite Strictly Stock 4 Cylinders will have the night off.
