ONA, WV-The Ona Speedway is set for its only event during the month of July, the Mid-Season Championships set for this Saturday, July 12th. This race comes at the mid-point of the season long chase for the points championship. Saturday’s race helps set up the final four race, two month long championship run in August and September.

For the All Seasons Powersports Late Model division, Saturday is also the mid-point of the new three race, All Seasons Powersports Triple Crown Challenge mini-series. The mini-series has brought new life to the Late Model division as the first race two weeks ago saw 13 Late Models enter to do battle for 35 laps. The Late Model division has seen the highest consistent car counts at the track in several years. Saturday is expected to be another great show as the class battles 35 laps for $800 to win. Jake Keaton and Matthew Parsons are locked into a tight battle for the track championship and the Triple Crown Challenge championship as Keaton holds a 3 slim lead over Parsons in both championship battles.

Several other championship battles are extremely close heading into Saturday’s Mid-Season Championships. No battle is closer than in the Brody Nash Century 21 Crown Vics as Dusty Harding holds a narrow 1 point lead over Karsyn Maxey. The Eco First Street Stock division sees Tommy Rowe with a narrow 2 point lead over Matthew Hagood while the top 5 competitors are only separated by 5 points. At the midway point of the season, the championship battle is anyone’s race amongst the top 5 drivers. The Contempo Trophy & Awards UCAR track championship is also tight with Keith Watson holding a 4 point lead over David Adkins while Jay Workman and Evan Strickland sit only 10 points back.

Jeremy Cooper is in command of the LG Pressure Washing Modified track championship Battle. Cooper is riding a 7 race winning streak that goes all the way back to last September and currently holds a 21 point lead over James Harding. Nate Dunlap is having a career year in the Three Sixteen Motorsports INEX Legends Cars as he has scored two feature wins and holds a 12 point lead over his uncle Jay Dunlap. After scoring his first career win back in May, Andy Ennis currently holds a 20 point lead in the battle for the Crazy Compact track championship.

Saturday is expected to be another exciting night of can’t miss, short track racing action from the kids in the Keaton’s Collision Center Juice Boxes to the high power All Seasons Powersports Late Models. The 2025 season has seen some of the most exciting action at the track in a long time. That is expected to continue on Saturday.
