(Zach Yost Photo) Apple Grove, WV July 22, 2013~ The ADRA DirtMasters Late Model Challenge Series presented by Suddenlink and the AMRA Kryptonite Race Cars Weekly Racing Series will take on the Ohio Valley Speedway Saturday August 3rd with championship points being awarded to both sanctions. This will be the 1st time the 2 series have met at OVS and the stage is set perfectly for one of the most exciting events of the season as the best of the best converge on the 3/8ths mile clay oval in Lubeck, WV. http://www.ohiovalleyspeedway.com/

The ADRA DirtMasters Challenge Series presented by Suddenlink is a regional series that races in the Ohio Valley region. The AMRA Kryptonite Race Cars Late Models sanctions weekly late models at tracks in the Ohio Valley region as well although between the 2 series drivers from all over the United States and even Australia have participated in our events.

The American Motor Racing Association (AMRA- http://www.amramodified.com/) based in Racine, OH comes into this event with Ronnie Mayle of Chesterhill, OH in the #50 Rocket leading the points in weekly competition for the AMRA Kryptonite Race Cars sponsored Late Models. Mayle is followed closely by Andy Bond in the #01 out of Coolville, OH and Chris Garnes in the #42 out of Evans, WV.

The American Dirt Racing Association (ADRA- http://www.adraracing,net/) enters this challenge with “The Coshocton Ironman” Bryan Casey leading the points in the Racers In Christ Ford powered #25 Lazer. ‘The Junk Man” Wayne Hughes in the 1H Rocket out of Beckley, WV has advanced to 2nd place with a recent win at Thunder Mountain Speedway in Hanover, WV. “Hot Rod” Rod Conley in the #71R Rocket falls to 3rd.

The 2 series will be competing for a very respectable $2000 to win purse but more importantly a victory in this star-studded field will be especially sweet to one lucky driver as they will walk away with some pretty lofty bragging rights. The plan is to grow this as an annual event at OVS so it will be possible to either retain the title or pass it on each year. Perhaps a fan contest to “name the title” will be in order.

The gates will open at 4 PM. Racing at 7:30 PM. General Admission is only $15 for Adults. Kids 10 and under FREE! Pits are just $30. The concessions at OVS are awesome so don’t worry about food, just eat at the track. Kids look for the Racers In Christ booth for free Bibles and a wide variety of light up toys and souvenirs. (http://www.racersinchrist.com/) Drivers the tire rule is the standard ADRA punch 40 rule. http://www.adraracing.net/

Special thanks to Freddie Carpenter at Kryptonite Race Cars for sponsoring this event and the AMRA Late Models. Be sure to check out Suddenlink at http://www.suddenlink.com/ for services and products available in your area. See ya at the track!
