Flinner winner, Colton captures $2,100 Hill International Trucks Jook George “Steel City” 50 Classic in Bob Bentz 60!

It’s an understatement to say there was a little bit of action for everyone in the 26th running of the Jook George Classic! The Hill International big Rigs led the field to the green and the RUSH late Models were often running in the biggest event of the year for them. Josh Holtgraver and Kyle Lukon where waging a fierce battle at the front of the pack with Holtgraver leading lap one through 11 and Lukon taking over and leading 12 and 13. CAUTION, At this point no one seemed to want to start the race, when it was all said and done Holtgraver and Lukon were in the pits, and tempers flared as drivers got caught up in the carnage of the restarts and ended up out of the event. Lukon fixed his mount and returned, using the lucky-dog to get back on the lead lap and finish fourth.

When the mayhem was over the race resumed with Flinner and Schirnhofer putting on a driving clinic of side by side racing action, with an occasional oops, but nothing that slowed their pace as they roared around the monster! Flinner led 13-17, Schirnhofer 18-45, Flinner 46-50. Ben Policz and Mike Reft had strong runs for 3rd & 5th place finishes respectively.
