Conneaut, OH (May 8, 2015): The Super Late Models made their final appearance of 2015 at Raceway 7 with twenty-eight time crate late model feature winner getting his first Super Late a Model feature win at Raceway 7, the track where he started his career in 2005. In regular racing action Bob Pifer took home his second win in the Evergreen Lake Park Campground Crate Late Models feature, Brent Rhebergen got by race-long leader Troy Johnson on the final lap for his fourth Bonnell Collision Center E-Mods win of the year, Rob Bates collected his first-ever Campbell’s Mini-Storage Street Stocks feature win after leading from the drop of the green to the checkers, an exuberant Eric Reinwald got his first ever feature win in the Bonnell Auto Sales Economods feature while Brad Cole strengthened his slim lead with a win in the Specialty Products Mini Stocks night-capper.

The Bonnell Auto Sales Economods were the first feature on the track with Josh Ferry and Eric Reinwald starting on he front row. Ferry experienced problems at the start and never came up to speed end was hit in turn one, spinning on the track, bringing yellow over the event. That moved Reinwald to the pole with Kyle Fellows outside. Reinwald led from green with Fellows second and points leader Rick Prosser coming to third from sixth at the original start. Reinwald held on for his first-ever feature win over Fellows, points leader Prosser, Jace Ferringer, and Devin Henry.

The main attraction of the night, the ground-pounding Super Late Models, were next up with Brent Rhebergen and Bob Dorman on the front row. Rhebergen led lap one with fourth-starting Matt Urban second at the end of one and sixth staring Max Blair up to third. On lap five Urban was able to draw next to the leader in turn one but fell back on the straights. On lap seven Blair tried the outside route around Urban coming out of turn two but scraped the outside rail and fell back behind. At twelve complete Blair was next to Urban at the line and in second on the back straight. Blair then worked on Rhebergen using the inside getting by on lap seventeen. Blair caught the back-markers at lap nineteen, allowing Rhebergen and Urban to close the gap but cleared the two last place runners at lap twenty-one, then went on to the win, his first-ever Super Late Model win at Raceway 7. Urban got by for second at lap twenty-one. The only caution came on the final lap when Brian Fardink looped his mount in turn four. The top five were Blair, Urban, Rhebergen, Chris Hackett, and Bob Dorman.

Rob Bates and Tony Marotto brought the Campbell’s Mini-Storage Street Stocks field to Roger Osburn’s green flag with Bates leading the way at the green, but with yellow flying when Chris Hochschild slapped the wall in turn one necessitating a complete restart. Bates led at one lap with 2015 points champion Shaun Fawcett coming to second. John Bailey spun in turn one on lap six, slowing the event. After green again flew, Bates continued to lead but his progress was again slowed when Bailey again spun in turn two at twelve complete. Bates led Fawcett, Marotto, Chris Withers, and Ed Bolyard back to green for the final three lap dash to the win. The order remained the same for the front three but Ed Bolyard got by Withers for fourth at the white flag.

The Bonnell Collision Center E-Mods started with Troy Johnson and points leader Percy McDonald leading the way. Johnson grabbed the immediate lead. Three time feature winner Brent Rhebergen came to second at lap three but McDonald got back by before the first caution on lap three when Dan McDonald, last week’s winner, spun in turn two. Ken Zimmer, runner-up in points, headed pit side during the caution but returned just as the green re-appeared. Johnson again led with Rhebergen assuming second at green with Percy McDonald third, Chuck Steinle Jr fourth, and Jake Eucher fifth. Zimmer retired to the infield at nine laps into the race, assuring Percy McDonald the points title. Josh McDonald spun in turn two at lap eleven, slowing the field again. With twelve laps in, Eucher was battling Percy McDonald for third but McDonald pulled back to sole possession of the spot a lap later. With five laps to go Justin Chaddock, showing smoke from the right rear, pulled to the infield, setting up caution and a five-lap dash to the checkers. With two to go Rhebergen was challenging, getting alongside the leader on the back straight on lap nineteen then getting by on the final lap for his fourth win of the season. Johnson wound up second with Percy McDonald third, Jake Eucher fourth, and Chuck Steinle Jr fifth. For Percy McDonald, it is his second championship in the Bonnell Collision Center E-Mods division, the first coming in 2009.

Bud Watson and Bob Pifer brought the Evergreen Lake Park Campground CARS Crate Late Models to green with Pifer, looking for his second win of the season, taking the immediate lead. William Pinckney spun in turn two on lap five, slowing the race under caution. At green the outside row moved ahead putting defending champion Kyle Zimmerman in second. With six complete Dave Lyon was third, Watson fourth, and Billy Henry fifth. Khole Wanzer and William Pinckney spun in turn one with nine complete, again slowing the race under caution. Lyon, restarting from the outside, came to second at green with Henry, also on the outside, coming to fourth. On lap fourteen, second running Lyon spun with fourth running Henry also spinning in turn one. For the restart the order was now Pifer, Zimmerman, Watson, Wendall Pinckney, and Darrell Bossard. After one lap of green Watson was second and Pinckney was fourth. William Pinckney spun in turn one, his third of the night, sending him to the pits. Pifer went on to the win with Watson second, Zimmerman third, Bossard fourth, and Henry fifth.

The evening night-capper was the Specialty Products Mini Stocks feature with Justin Boardman and Hoyt Mihalak bringing the field to green but fourth starting Brad Cole, the points leader, was leading by the end of lap one. On lap two Mihalak slid into the turn one wall, slowing the event for the first time. After green Cole pulled out to the lead over Dylan Goodman, Kyle Adkins, Joe Plesniak, and Last week’s winner Jason Easler. Easler was fourth at five laps complete and next to Adkins for third the next lap. With five complete Plesniak slowed to a stop. Cole led again after green over Adkins with Sergeff now third. Sergeff was second after six laps with Easler back to fourth at eight complete. With two to go Easler came to third but Adkins came back at the white flag. Cole went on to the win over Sergeff with Easler coming back to third over Adkins and Justin Boardman.
