With the opening of the 2016 racing season just a couple of weeks away, Promoters Jason and Kristin Flory have put together a ‘Summer Series’ for the Kar Connection Rush Late Models, the Action Auto Body Super Stocks and the WQKT Mini Stocks. This will be races for all three class’ of cars that will have more to win the features plus a separate point fund that will pay the top three finishers in each class. The Kar Connection Rush Late Models will have four ‘Series’ races with the first on Saturday April 30th which will pay $800 to win the feature. The second race for them will be a Sweeney Rush Late Model Touring race that will pay $1,500 to win on Saturday, May 28th, which has been moved up a week from the original schedule when the Arctic Cat All Stars moved their date at NAPA WCS up a week. The final two races will be held on Saturday, August 20th and Saturday, September 24th during the 4th annual Ohio Blowout will pay $800 to win. The points winner of the Series will pocket $300 as second will receive $200 and the third place driver will get $100.

The Action Auto Body Super Stock Series will begin with a $1,000 to win race on Monday, June 20th, which is the Arctic Cat All Star Speedweek Show. The other three ‘Series’ races for the Super Stocks will be on Saturday’s July 16th, August 20th and September 24 with each of those races paying $500 to win. The Super Stock ‘Series’ winner gets $300 while second collects $200 and third will get $100.
The WQKT Mini Stocks ‘Series’ will be a five race battle and will start on Opening Night, Saturday, April 9th with a $300 to win feature. The second race will be another $300 to win race on Saturday, June 4th. A big $1,000 to win feature is set for Saturday, July 16th while the last two races will be on Saturdays, August 6th and September 24th with $300 to win each race. The top three in points for the Mini Stocks will receive $200 for the Champion, $100 for second and $50 for third.

The season long battle for the 2016 points championship will see all the races being points races including the Arctic Cat All Star races, the OSCS races for the Fisher Performance Sprints, the Buckeye Dirt Week for the Harriger Towing Super Late Models. This season at NAPA WCS, each driver will get points for all the races he has raced but his best 12 nights will decide the points championship. If a driver races in more than 12 races, his lowest points races starting with his 13th race will be discarded. If a driver races in less than 12 races he will not get to discard his worst points night. This points standard will be in all five class’ of cars. The new points way will be explained fully at the opening night drivers meeting on Saturday, April 9th.
