Conneaut, OH (May 24, 2016): The Pennsylvania Vintage Dirt Modifieds will put in their first of two appearances at Raceway 7 this Friday. The popular group consists of several 50s, 60s, and 70s era racers, both coupes and sedans that race throughout the northeast, putting on shows reminiscent of racing’s roots in the modifieds of yesteryear. Several of the old speedsters are expected to appear and will run both heats and a feature.

Former champion Kyle Zimmerman leads the way in the Evergreen Lake Park CARS Crate Late Models season standings. Zimmerman has won two of the three features run this season but only leads Darrell Bossard, without a win this season, by one marker. Week two winner Dennis Lunger is only 6 points behind Bossard with Wendall Pinckney fourth and Breyton Santee fifth. Both Pinckney and Santee have had excellent starts to their seasons and will be near the front if not leading the way.

Veteran Troy Johnson leads the way in the Bonnell Collision Center E-Mods with a margin of seven points over two time winner Joel Watson. Watson, a many time champion, has an eighteen point margin on 2015 champion Percy McDonald. John Woodward Jr and Mike Potosky, week two winner, fill out the top five.

Opening night winner Rob Bates is showing the way in the Campbell’s Mini Storage Street Stock competition over Anthony Marotto. Bates’ margin is an incredible 67 points after only three weeks. Art Gilchrist is third, another 17 markers behind Marotto. Richard Chess is currently fourth with defending champion Shawn Fawcett fifth.

The Bonnell Auto Group Economods are being led by defending champion Rick Prosser on the strength of two feature wins in the first three weeks. Opening night winner Steve Haefke is currently second, 64-points behind Prosser. Eric Reinwald is third, another eight points back but only four points ahead of Brian Toto. Kevin Sergeff rounds out the top five.

Jason Easler holds a twelve point lead over Hoyt Mihalak in the McDonald’s Sand and Gravel Mini Stock division with Casey Harmon another thirteen points back in third. Easler has two wins on the season. Former champion Bud Sergeff, last week’s winner after a wild last lap that featured a three-wide battle for the lead coming to the checkers, is fourth, five points behind third, and fifty points ahead of defending champion Brad Cole.
