After last Saturday Season Opener at the Tyler County Speedway that seen some 140 plus racers converge, the ‘Bullring’ will look to continue the early season momentum. ‘Bridgeport Equipment’ Night at ‘the Bullring’ will see the first of the 2018 season’s “Workin’ Man World Championship” qualifiers for the Sigler Fabrication ‘EDGE’ Hot Mods presented by Dave Poske Performance Parts plus a huge Kids Gold Rush at intermission.

The area’s original and only true economy modified division continues to hold the gold standard in the area for class numbers and competition, with the 2017 season seeing double digit feature winners and class numbers often dictating the 2 feature format. Closely following the ultra successful IMCA Northern Sport Mod rules has proven to benefit the EDGE Hot Mods. Costs to compete have been kept in check and competition is obviously at an all-time high. 2018 will mark the classes 10th year of competition and the 5th Annual Workin’ Man World Championship event. Dedicated to showcase the hard working, blue collar racers that the class proudly presents weekly, the WMWC race boasts an elevated purse to reward the hometown heroes that are the backbone of weekly racing.

Winners of the qualifier races will punch their ticket for the big dance, guaranteeing a coveted prime starting position in the 2018 Workin’ Man’s World Championship. An early season playoff game style atmosphere will be in the air this weekend when the EDGE Hot Mods hit the track for the first of 4 WMWC qualifiers. Along with the 4 winners of the WMWC Qualifiers, the top point guy in the WMWC Series not picking up a win will secure a guaranteed starting spot as well.
